Regal Review: 2017 Spanish State Visit to the UK - Day 2
On 13 July 2017, King Felipe and Queen Letizia spent their second day in London as part of their first state visit to the United Kingdom.
The day started with a wreath-laying ceremony at Westminster Abbey where King Felipe and Queen Letizia were joined by Prince Harry.
Afterward, King Felipe and Queen Letizia attended a reception at the Spanish Ambassador’s residence for the Spanish community living in the United Kingdom.
King Felipe also met with the UK’s Prime Minister, Theresa May.
In the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia joined Princess Anne and Timothy Laurence for a gala dinner hosted by Lord Mayor of London at Guildhall.
For the day events, Letizia wore a navy silk blouse with a Carolina Herrera floral printed skirt. She wore navy Magrit sandals, a navy clutch and turquoise earrings belonging to Queen Sofia.
In the evening, Letizia wore a bespoke Carolina Herrera asymmetric draped gown with a navy clutch and navy shoes. She wore the Mellerio floral tiara and diamond and sapphire statement earrings.
