King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima's State Visit to Germany - Day 2

Today, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima spent the second day of their state visit in Germany in Berlin.

The royal couple first visited the Bundestag which is the German parliament. During their visit, they met with the President of the Bundestag and representatives of the Benelux Parliamentary Group.

Afterward, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima Gropius Bau, a museum of modern art in Berlin where they met with designers to learn more about new materials and sustainable circular design. They also visited the 'Kosmos Weben' exhibition.

The couple then visited the Federal Council, the representation of the sixteen German federal states in the German political system, where King Willem-Alexander made a speech.

The King and Queen then met with Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany since 2005.

The royal couple ended their busy schedule in the afternoon when they attended a symposium on hydrogen during which the German-Dutch economic relationship, the cooperation in the field of hydrogen, and the innovation and technology pact that both countries have signed were discussed.

In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted a reception and concert at the Konzerthaus at the Gendarmenmarkt in honor of the German President and the First Lady.

For the day events, Queen Maxima wore her Natan dress with her Gianvito Rossi suede pumps. She paired the outfit with her Betty Rutjes hat.

In the evening, Queen Maxima wore her Valentino blue strapless lace gown with her Aquazzura platform peep toe pumps and her Christian Dior clutch.
