Queen Maxima visits Gulpener Beer Brewery

Today, Queen Maxima visited the Gulpener Beer Brewery in the municipality of Gulpen-Wittem. The brewery is the winner of the Plaque for Sustainable Entrepreneurship, one of the Koning Willem I Awards.

Queen Maxima first visited a hop field where she spoke to a number of growers about growing raw materials and the cooperation between the cooperative and the brewery. She also helped harvest hop cones.

Afterward, Queen Maxima visited Gulpener's new brewhouse where she learned more about innovative brewing techniques, processing of local raw materials, and the steps being taken to be able to brew all beers by 2030 without the use of fossil fuels.⁣

The visit ended in the microbrewery where the harvested hops from the start of the visit were used to brew a specialty beer.⁣

Queen Maxima wore a new Natan top with new Natan Couture trousers and Cult Gaia earrings (with thanks to ModeKoninginMaxima). She paired the outfit with new wedges and a green clutch.
