Queen Mary attends COP30 in Brazil - Day 2
On Wednesday, Queen Mary spent her second day in Brazil. She first visited the research institute Embrapa, the leading Brazilian research institute within agriculture, forestry, and sustainability.
Afterward, Queen Mary visited the African pavilion at the COP30 Summit. In her speech, Queen Mary said: “This conference reflects the complexities involved in combating climate change. It’s not solely about reducing CO2 emissions. It is also about strengthening climate adaptation and building resilience. It is about food security, biodiversity, and protecting the health of humans and animals. Ultimately saving lives. It is about maintaining and amplifying momentum and financing. It’s about scientific advancement, technological transformation, democratic participation, and sustaining our shared commitments. It’s about global climate action, where all nations and peoples unite for the future of our shared planet and generations to come.”

Queen Mary then visited the cultural center in Utinga Park, which focuses on the relationship of indigenous peoples to nature and their role in biodiversity efforts.
In the evening, Queen Mary attended a dinner at the São Brás Market, a marketplace for food.
Queen Mary first wore her Bagutta shirt with orange trousers and a Seed Heritage belt. She paired the outfit with her Gianvito Rossi sandals and her Ralph Lauren bag. Later, she changed into her Prada flats. She also wore her Michael Kors sunglasses, her Louise Grønlykke earrings, her Dulong Fine Jewelry necklace, and bracelets by Dulong Fine Jewelry. When she made the opening speech, she wore her Gucci glasses.
In the evening, Queen Mary wore her Etro dress with her Malone Souliers pumps.
